History of Olympic Weightlifting
The Lift Up project is brought to you by chidlovski.com.
Summer Olympics, Montreal, Canada, 1976: 23 year old Lee James (USA) wins silver Olympic medal in the 90KG weight class. It was a remarkable achievement by a young American lifter taking in consideration that he lost to legendary David Rigert (USSR) but won over Atanas Shopov who competed for a new weightlifting superpower of Bulgaria. Lee James is an perfect example on how hard work and determination can bring to the highest level of performance - to the medal stand of the Olympics.
