48 yrs ago i was your driver/assistant FO in the 2nd of the 37th in germany. followed your career from time to time thru sports illustrated and noted when you once set a record. guess someone broke it. I retired in 89 after a career in the us secret service. remember the day of the big corps shoot for the tiny general who had to stand on a table to see out and we switched helmuts for a hip shoot mission where the ranging rounds were right on target and without further adieu we called for fire for effect and the :hole in the dike' and everything else just disappeared?
