History of Olympic Weightlifting
The Lift Up project is brought to you by chidlovski.com.
USA Championship, Los Angeles, CA, 1954: One of the best weightlifting nations in the world in the 1950s, Team USA produced world class athletes that seldomly lost any world or Olympic medals of the time. The footage features such Olympic weightlifting legends as Tommy Kono, Norbert Schemansky, Stanley Sranczyk, David Sheppard and more. As usual, team mentor and sponsor Bob Hoffman is present within a close range of the competition when his athletes are lifting.
